Flights to and in the Pacific cover usualy long distances. Good service & facilities aboard your plane is therefor most important. 

Air New Zealand flies with the most modern equipment available. In 1998 for example its full fleet has been upgraded with new seats, they have a wider seating, head& feetrests and wider pitch (legspace between the chairs).

Because we know one of life's real pleasures is relaxing over a good meal, we've designed all our menus to reflect the fresh, healthy cuisine of New Zealand. 
Along the way, we've asked some of our country's great chefs for their opinions. And incorporated their suggestions into the most creative menus you'll find in the air. At the same time, our wine consultants have recommended wines that not only complement our menus but still taste wonderful at 30,000 feet. And as part of our Pacific Wave of changes, we're refining your dining experience with new standards of presentation and of course, our irresistible in-flight service.

Business & First Class

Flying Business or First Class is not only for if you are on Business Travel. We offer very competive rates & upgrades for the leisure traveller.

Onboard, our friendly staff has been trained to anticipate your personal and professional needs. All within a Business Class cabin offering plenty of room and solitude for concentration and relaxation.

Take a seat. In fact, take the most comfortable Business Class seat in rthe world. Providing a full recline, adjustable lumbar support and oversize pillows for added comfort. Not to mention plenty of space to enjoy our excellent brasserie-style cuisine accompanied by award-winning wines.

Need a bit of distraction after your four-course meal? There's always your personal video system with nine channels of entertainment, and our unique aromatherapy kit to help soothe your mind and body. Whether you want to work or relax, our Business Class will adapt to meet your needs.

Grilled prawns in a thick chilli and tomato sauce
with coriander and wedges of toasted cornbread.

Main Course
Fillet of panfried beef with garlic roasted parsnips,
steamed baby leeks and asparagus with tapenade.

Chargrilled orange roughy, braised fennel and baby red chard
garnished with salted lemons and chilli oil.

Panfried white turkey breast with braised red cabbage,
bacon and hazelnuts, green beans and golden polenta.

Dessert
Fig and honey ice cream with poached spiced oranges.

Bitter chocolate and almond fudge cake.

Cheese and Fruit
A selection of fine cheese and seasonal fruit.

Beverages
Freshly brewed or decaffeinated coffee, tea, herbal tea
and hot chocolate. Artifical sweetner available.

Continental Selection
Fresh fruit selection with assorted cereals and yoghurts. Croissants, muffins, white and wholemeal toast with
assorted conserves.

Hot Options
Omelette filled with mushroom, onion and tomato
served with pork sausage and grilled bacon.

Smoked orange roughy on brioche, with scrambled eggs
and slow roasted tomato.

Apple and mascarpone pancakes with fresh strawberries
and spiced apple.

Appetisers
Chargrilled scallops with sweet chilli sauce,
crème fraiche and watercress salad.

Baby artichokes and feta with roasted plum tomato,
almonds and olives.

Soup
Creamy butternut, courgette and pinenut soup
with shaved parmesan.

Main Selections
Roast saddle of New Zealand lamb served with pinot
noir sauce, truffle mash, savoy cabbage, and green
beans with spring onions.

Chargrilled salmon fillet with wilted spinach,
parsnip pureé and piquillo pepper relish.

Rabbit stuffed with smoked Italian sausage
and parmesian frittata, served with roasted rosemary
potatoes and ratatouille.

Vegetarian Choice
Stuffed Swiss chard filled with rice, lentils and raisans,
served with cardamom and carrot sauce, eggplant and
potato cannelloni and cumin carrots.

Salad
Freshly tossed salad offered with your choice of
mixed herb and yoghurt dressing or extra-virgin olive oil
and balsamic vinaigrette. You may choose this either
as a side salad to accompany your main sleection or as
a separate course.

Desserts
Cappuccino and apricot crème ice creams with
chocolate and vanilla sponge and raspberry coulis.

Pear and amaretto tart on vanilla anglaise sauce.

Cheese and Fruit
A selection of fine cheese and seasonal fruit.

Beverages

Light Refreshment
A selection of sandwiches, snacks and fruit
