| When you fly with Air New
Zealand, any Star Alliance carrier
or our partner
airlines, the number of Air Points you earn is based on a
combination of the total number of kilometres you travel and your class of
travel. The more you travel the more Air Points you'll earn. Check
the table below to see just how many points you can earn.

1. Travel within
Canada, on an Air Canada ticketed and operated flight, earns you 0.50
points per km travelled.
2. Travel on Singapore Airlines and British Midland earns you 0.70 points
per km travelled for an Economy Class Ticket.
3. Air Points members residing in the United Kingdom and Europe are not
eligible to earn and use Air Points on British Midland, Singapore
Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. |

To help you reach your goal as quickly as
possible we have introduced minimum points levels on Air New Zealand
National and Link flights. That means no matter how far you travel within
New Zealand, you will receive a minimum of 600 Air Points per day in
Economy Class and 700 Air Points per day in Business Class. The Star Alliance Carriers
In March 1999, Air New Zealand became a
partner in the Star Alliance network of premier airlines, opening a
whole new world of destinations and benefits for Air Points members.
Because you earn Air Points every time you
travel on a Star Alliance carrier, there are now more opportunities
to earn Rewards and achieve elite level frequent flyer status.

airlines. In addition, the more you travel with Air New Zealand or any
Star Alliance carrier the sooner you will reach elite
Air Points status and enjoy the special recognition you deserve.
Elite Air Points membership also qualifies you
for Star Alliance Gold and Silver benefits. These include access to over
200 Star Alliance lounges worldwide and priority check in.
Because your Air
Points Validity extends up to five years, you’ll have plenty of time
to plan how to use your Rewards.
