Here's what you can expect from Air Canada and Air Canada Regional Inc. (doing business as Air Canada Jazz). It explains what we do, why we do it and it provides an overview to gauge our level of service. These days, you will find a number of service plans being promoted by various airlines. I believe that Air Canada has taken a leadership position in terms of what we say and what we do for customers. That doesn't mean we don't make mistakes. We do. But for all of us at Air Canada, this effort serves as a foundation for improvement and a genuine desire to get better with every flight.

Check-in Times
Do you like to leave on time? For an on time departure ALL passengers should be on board the aircraft at least 15 minutes prior to departure.

Air Canada recommends allowing plenty of time for check-in, especially when checking baggage and for the security check. If you wish to avoid the check in line-ups, why not use the Express Check In Kiosk available at most of our airports. For Kiosk locations click here.

Here are the minimum check- in times for flights leaving from Canada to destinations within Canada, the US and International are:

Western Shuttle (Vancouver/Calgary/Edmonton) 30 min.
Domestic (Within Canada) 1 hour
Transborder (between US and Canada) 1 hour and 30 min.
International (including Caribbean and Mexico) 2 hour
