This article explains the political game that is
played since 11sep last year between United Airlines and the US
Government (ATSB) and the Trade Unions. Key issue is that United Airlines
tries to get loan guarantees from the US government and implement
dramatic cost reductions (eg. by reducing the workforce and lower
wages).
Important: As in the meanwhile
flight operations of United will be business as usual, we see no need to
reschedule your trip with United. If you still want us to reschedule your
trip to other Airlines (eg.
Cathay Pacific), we will not apply
change costs, but the difference in airfares that may occur will be
charged to the client.
